My name is Jody Jones and my wife Monica and I would like to welcome you to our church family.  In April 2013, the Lord called us to Malakoff to live and love the people of this community, and it has been such a blessing.  We would like to welcome you to be part of our family and our vision as we seek to be all things to all people through the love of Christ.  It is an exciting time to be a part of such an experienced church with a missional heart and a staff that is seeking to minister to all ages and people groups right here where God has planted us.  Come and see what God is doing, we would love to have the opportunity to meet you!

I shouldn't have the life I have. But God gives more grace. Jesus changes EVERYTHING, and I'm living proof!

Originally from the Rio Grande Valley in deep South Texas, I was born to a faithful, praying mother. Although I was raised in church, I did not have a typical upbringing. An absentee father; three step-fathers; emotional, physical, sexual abuse; and porn addiction - aren't exactly the perfect setup for a pastor, right? That's how my story begins.

But because of JESUS, that's not how my story ends!

I grew up hearing a lot about Jesus but never truly surrendered my life to Him. When I was 14 years old - filled with deep wounds, regrets, and bitterness - God revealed Himself to me at a summer camp and transformed my life forever.

I began to place my faith in the God of the Bible. He is the ever-present Father to the fatherless. He is the God of perfect love who intimately cares for His own. His powerful Spirit living in me can heal the wounds of my abuse and overcome addiction. His abundant grace is enough for every need.

My SURRENDER has led to my FREEDOM, and I have committed the rest of my life to herald the name of Jesus and His gospel to every student searching for the same abundant grace I have found in my new life in Christ.

God gives each of us a story to share. Don't keep your story to yourself. Shine your light!
